Hi there, I'm Ava Tunison, a student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.

 

I am currently studying illustration, meaning all things picture-making. I knew for a fact that art was my path in Junior year of high school. I had a passion for art my whole life, but never saw it as a viable career. My incredible teachers made it seem possible. Through my experience at CCS, that path has never been clearer.

 

I love creating art that brings stories to life and brings mine and other people’s visions alive. I love seeing the excitement in people when they receive something made with them in mind. Live illustration is daunting but rewarding.

 

I have found that you can get some of the most wonderful, loose, and spontaneous work when working live. It's a look that cannot be recreated elsewhere.
